From the President

Wynnum Wolves would like to share with everyone at the club the latest update from FFA regarding Coronavirus situation. ( https://footballqueensland.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/20-04-FFA-Circular-Coronavirus-COVID-19.pdf )

This news item from Football Queensland provides links to further expert health advice on the topic that we would encourage all members to read. https://footballqueensland.com.au/2020/03/06/ffa-update-on-the-coronavirus/

Our club will continue to pass on any updated information that is issued by the Football Federation Australia and Football Queensland.

Can I please stress that it is up to everyone to take personal responsibility with health and hygiene protocols at all times – but particularly at present.

Can we ALL please make sure of the following:
That players and team officials are NOT sharing water bottles;
That good hygiene practices and hand washing is made a priority around the team environment;
A small bottle of hand sanitiser would be a good idea to add to your personal kit bag;
If you are not well you should NOT attend training or matches.
Please advise your coaches and managers in this situation;

FQ have also advised that the traditional practice of handshakes between teams and officials at the beginning and end of games should be curtailed in the current climate.

The club would appreciate everyone’s co-operation with this to help ensure the health of all at the club.
